Shipping Policy

OUR SHIPPING POLICY
We appreciate your purchase and endeavor to ship all orders on the same day they are processed if ordered before 1pm GMT+1 Monday through Friday. Orders placed after 1pm, on weekends, and National holidays will be shipped on the next business day. Your order is dispatched from our facility in Lagos, Nigeria.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING (NIGERIA)

1.⁠ ⁠Standard Delivery
Standard delivery takes 2-7 working days for Lagos and 2-10 working days for all other states.

2.⁠ ⁠Next Day Delivery
Next-day delivery is available exclusively for Lagos. Orders placed before 5pm (Monday to Friday) will be delivered on the following working day.

3.⁠ ⁠Same-day delivery is available exclusively for Lagos. The following cutoff times apply:
•⁠ ⁠Orders to Mainland (Lagos) must be placed by 12pm (Mon-Fri).
•⁠ ⁠Orders to Island (Lagos – locations beyond VGC) must be placed by 12pm (Mon-Fri).
•⁠ ⁠Orders to Island (Lagos – Lagos Island, Ikoyi, VI, Lekki-up to VGC) must be placed by 2pm (Mon-Fri).

4.⁠ ⁠Saturday delivery is available exclusively for Lagos. Orders can be placed any day but must be submitted by 2pm on Friday to be delivered the following day. Orders placed after 2pm on Friday will be delivered the subsequent Saturday.

Kindly be aware that orders may require up to 2 working days for processing during peak periods.

International orders & shipping

We provide shipping to all countries worldwide, with an approximate delivery window of 5 to 10 working days.

International shipments are required to undergo customs clearance, and the specific rules and criteria for this process differ from one country to another. It is the customer’s responsibility to cover any extra taxes, fees, or duties, as well as to manage any necessary permits or special documentation that may be mandated. All shipments are accompanied by invoices, which serve as the sole document sent with your shipment.

TRACKING YOUR ORDER

Upon clearance of your payment, you will be sent an email once your order has been processed. A second confirmation email will be sent when your order has been shipped, providing your tracking number and a link to monitor the progress of your package. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the accuracy of the entered address. Due to our strict shipping schedule, we cannot guarantee changes to the address. Please verify the correctness of the address you provide, as we will not accept responsibility for packages sent to an incorrectly entered address.

MISSING, DEFECTIVE, OR DAMAGED ITEMS
At The Hair Studio, we personally package and fulfill all orders in our central showroom. We take great care to ensure that all purchased items are included and securely packaged for shipping. In the rare event that your item arrives defective or damaged, please reach out to us within 5 days of receipt to initiate the exchange process for your item(s). In the unlikely situation where an item is missing from your order, please contact us within 2 days of receipt. For all approved claims of missing items, the full order must be returned to The Hair Studio in its original sale condition. Upon receipt and inspection, a refund will be issued.

UNDELIVERED ORDERS
The Hair Studio is not responsible for orders that have been shipped to the address provided by the purchaser and marked as delivered by the postal service. All orders come with $50 insurance (USPS) or $100 insurance (DHL). If you do not have possession of your delivered item, please notify us and open a claim with the shipping carrier – we will also open a claim. If the claim is resolved in our favor, the insured amount can be refunded to you or applied as credit toward your next order. If you choose to make a new purchase, please let us know if you would like to add additional insurance, a signature confirmation, or ship to a different address.

The Hair Studio gladly accepts exchange requests within 7 days of receipt, provided that your order remains in saleable condition. Products that have been untied, washed, installed, chemically processed, dyed, or tampered with are not eligible for an exchange. Therefore, please thoroughly inspect each product in its original sale condition to ensure your complete satisfaction. Please be aware that issues related to color variation of the hair are not considered valid grounds for an exchange. We maintain the right to determine the eligibility of the product(s) for exchange and to reject an exchange request that was previously approved upon receipt. If a store credit is issued instead of an exchange, the store credit will remain valid for 60 days. After this period, the store credit will expire.

PROCESS FOR APPROVAL & EXCHANGING ORDERS AND SHIPPING

Prior to sending an exchange to The Hair Studio, it is imperative that you contact us for approval. Exchanges sent without prior approval will not be eligible and will be returned to the sender.

In the event that your package is returned to the sender, you will be responsible for any additional shipping fees incurred for resending the package. We must receive returned packages before we can proceed with resending your package. If a package is returned to the sender and is no longer desired, a refund will not be issued; however, store credit will be provided, excluding the initial shipping cost.

If you have received the correct item and wish to exchange it, you will be responsible for all associated shipping charges.

DELIVERY OF EXCHANGED ITEMS
The Hair Studio’s current exchange process typically takes 3-5 days for processing. Once your exchange request has been approved and sent back, we will follow up with you via email.

In the event that your package is returned to the sender, you will be responsible for any additional shipping fees incurred for resending the package. We must receive returned packages before we can proceed with resending your package. If a package is returned to the sender and is no longer desired, a refund will not be issued; however, store credit will be provided, excluding the initial shipping cost.

INSURANCE CHARGES WITH THE DELIVERY SERVICE.

For items valued below 400,000 Naira, the insurance cost is a fixed rate of 4,000 Naira. If the value exceeds 400,000 Naira, the insurance is calculated at 1% of the item’s value.

Opting for insurance ensures that, in the unfortunate event of loss, theft, or damage during transit with DHL, you are eligible to receive the full declared value of your shipment. However, please note that if items are not insured, compensation will be granted at the discretion of our management.

EXCHANGES INVOLVING ITEMS OF LESSER/GREATER VALUE
If you are exchanging for a product of lesser value, the price difference will be issued as store credit after deducting the shipping cost for sending out your exchange. If you are exchanging for a product of greater value, the price difference will be invoiced via email, including the shipping cost for sending out your exchange.
